I especially liked the descriptions of the characters and how they came to be. Normally, I tend to read through those parts quickly, as they tend to be long and have way to much info, but I didn't get that from this book. They were well described and it made you want to know about them. I found the book ended well, knowing where all the characters are and a feel for what is to come. I do agree that Cynara has to be one of the most evil characters I have read about, and now that she has a partner..... I enjoy reading a book that makes me what to know what is going to happen next and this one definitely did that. Looking forward to Book II.

Hi George Straatman: Within the pages of "The Converging" exists quite a unique writing style and the general concept of the book is unusual. I have not read any book so quickly since "Bag of Bones" about five years ago. Your novel was fascinating, very imaginative and captivating. Cynara is the ultimate villan considering her unlimited powers, brutality and love for theatrics. Zved Neghev is an interesting character because his thoughts about facts, fiction and the supernatural is some of the things almost everybody contemplates. His job in the book is to sort out fact or fiction, however after much deliberation he had to accept his mission into the "supernatural". Any reader who enjoyed "The Great and Secret Show" by Clive Barker or "The Bad Place" by Dean Koontz I'm sure would enjoy "The Converging". I know I sure enjoyed the journey, hope you will to... A fan, Brian.

I just wanted to say that I am about to begin reading book two and am very excited to do so. I read so fast through book one that I was slightly disapointed to find out that I would ahve to wait so long for number 2. I am hoping that you, Mr Straatman, end up back in sudbury to sign my book, since I have your signature in my first one. Book number 1 took me by surprise, I honestly thought that I would not like it and wondered why I even bought it, but once I started reading I could not put it down!!! It was amazingly written and for such a thick book, it was not at all overly descriptive where you just want to scream allright already!! I get the point! You are an amzing writer and I look forward to not only the third book in this trilogy but also all your other works.
Thank you!
